I’m honored to announce that one of my photographs was selected as one of 12 photographs to be included in the Arizona Game and Fish (AZGFD) annual calendar. For more than 15 years AZGFD has published a wall calendar showcasing the varied wildlife of Arizona. Photographers are welcomed each year to enter their photographs in the AZGFD Photography Contest. Entries are then judged to select the 12 winners. The beautiful wall calendar is published as a supplement to the November/December issue of the department’s Arizona Wildlife Views magazine.

This year the contest drew nearly 1,900 entries featuring many of Arizona’s wide-ranging wildlife. My photograph of five little Burrowing Owl owlets alongside their burrow was chosen to be printed as the month of March selection.

Arizona Wildlife Views magazine blends compelling wildlife and outdoor recreation stories with spectacular photography.
