Florida Fauna & Flora

My wife and I recently visited family in Florida and took a few extra days for ourselves to do some sightseeing and photography. Compared to Arizona, Florida is far richer with wildlife and plants. Just seeing trees, green plants and beautiful shore birds was a treat.

We visited Sebring, Ft. Myers, Sanibel/Captiva, Cape Coral and brief stops at Sarasota and Naples. Below are a few of the photographs from the area. The most satisfying photographs for me were of the burrowing owls which we found in Cape Coral. The photograph of the cat is “CP” who is the resident kitty at Inn on the Lakes in Sebring. He has the run of the lobby and was a willing character to photograph (my wife and I are both great cat lovers).
